Ms. McKoin has over 16 years marketing and sales experience
in the telecommunications industry. As the Executive Vice
President of marketing, product development and communications
at Excel Communications, she developed and executed a business
plan for wireless products in the United States and Canada.
Margaret was also responsible for product development, long
distance, paging, and bundled services.
As Vice President of marketing and sales distribution channels
at CenturyTel, she supervised both the marketing and sales
groups. While at CenturyTel, Ms. McKoin assisted the corporation
with several acquisitions during her
three-year tenure. She also participated in analyst presentations
and conferences. Overseeing all aspects of advertising plans
with in-house media and graphics, she also developed company
wide sales and marketing strategies. Under Margaret's tenure,
CenturyTel had
record-breaking sales performances and customer churn improved
consistently.
While at Palmer Wireless, Ms. McKoin served as Vice President
of sales and marketing for ten years. She was an original
member of the start-up team, which grew from 6 to 750 employees
and, in 1995, positioned the company for a public offering.
She exceeded growth budgets 9 years in a row, taking Palmer
from zero customers to 325,000 customers. During Margaret's
tenure, Palmer also received top ranking in customer satisfaction
for 5 years and the lowest customer churn rate in the industry.
Ms. McKoin has served as a member of CTIA Public Relations
Executive Committee and has served as the Vice Chairperson
of the Cellular One Group Advisory Council. She has a bachelor's
degree in business administration and graduate studies in
international marketing. She speaks both French and Japanese.
